"HEART" will be a different kind of exhibit - a large show with small prints - open to all photographers - curated - and in time for Valentine’s Day. This is not a competition and there is no fee to submit images.
HEART is the theme and it’s open to interpretation. Have fun - include hearts, don’t include hearts - share your vision, desires, dreams, journeys, questions, answers. The HEART Show will open Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 5pm. The deadline for submitting images is January 10th and February 5th is the deadline for delivering prints. Please add your information to our email list on our home page and we'll send you the entry guidelines. We look forward to receiving your entry!

In a time when imagery is ubiquitous and photography has become a commodity traded in pixels and housed in hard drives, Edition One is committed to presenting and preserving photographs as unique objects that breathe life into our environment, cause people to pause and reflect, and are prized as singular works of art.
For our first exhibition, SOFT, 20 photographers chose one image each that explores their own expression of 'soft' – in a person, room, in nature, or an abstract. The idea for Soft came from my desire to help photographers and viewers reconnect with the feeling of softness in their lives. In this time of so much turbulence, violence, and suffering in the world, each image in this collection speaks to peace, contemplation, and gentleness in its own way. Artists exhibiting: Mark Berndt, Lisa Blair, Tony Bonanno, William Coupon, Dianne Duenzl, Amy Kawadler, Reno Kleen, Lisa Law, Pilar Law, Eric Lawton, Douglas Magnus, Carrie McCarthy, Daniel Milnor, Erwin More, Irene Owsley, George Rodrigue, Yvette Roman, Garry Transue, Baron Wolman, Angel Wynn. Edition One is a unique concept gallery showcasing contemporary photography in editions of one. Edition One collectors will find exclusive access to new photographic works both from emerging and established photographers in Santa Fe and around the world. A selection of artists are offering their image in an edition of one and the show’s curator, Pilar Law, will be selecting future images for works to include in her Edition One collection which will be on view during gallery opening events and by appointment. |
