Join us for a rare solo performance from Grammy-winning songwriter Gary Nicholson – a Hall of Fame songwriter and Grammy winner with credits in multiple genres including country (Willie Nelson), blues (BB King), pop (Ringo Starr), rock (Fleetwood Mac), folk (John Prine), bluegrass (Del McCoury), Americana (Guy Clark) with over 700 recordings of his works, often in collaboration with the most iconic musical artists of our time. His songs have also been featured in film, notably Jeff Bridges' Oscar-winning performance of "Falling and Flying" in "Crazy Heart".
After a lifetime of contributing to American culture through music making, he has focused on addressing the current polarity in politics with the release of "Common Sense", a twelve-song collection that speaks to the divisions our country now faces with hope and humor. After coming of age through the turbulent sixties and experiencing the healing power of music to unite, Nicholson aspires to serve as well as entertain—more at garynicholsonmusic.com and Qualified Records. Tree Adams, Wally Ingram, and Jono Manson are coming together in Santa Fe for a powerhouse performance of gritty blues, masterful rhythms, and soulful storytelling. With Adams’ wailing guitar, Ingram’s dynamic percussion, and Manson’s seasoned songwriting, this trio delivers a rich, high-energy experience that blends rock, blues, and Americana into an unforgettable night of music.
Tree Adams is an award-winning, internationally renowned composer and singer-songwriter known for his bluesy growl and wailing guitar. His career began as the frontman of the Hatters, who toured relentlessly in the 1990s, playing alongside bands like the Allman Brothers, Buddy Guy & Dave Matthews. As a producer/writer, he has had the opportunity to work in the studio with artists such as New Orleans legend Cyril Neville, hip hop scion YG, African world music sensation Bassekou Kouyate, Blues legend Taj Mahal, New Orleans favorites, The Preservation Hall Jazz Band and members of the Meters. Wisconsin-born percussionist Wally Ingram is the rock world’s version of Kevin Bacon—there are few degrees of separation between him and nearly every star on stage over the past decade. His dynamic percussion has made him a sought-after collaborator, performing alongside longtime friend Sheryl Crow, as well as with the David Nelson Band and on the Bob Weir/Phil Lesh Duo Tour. A drummer in constant demand, Wally has worked with a stellar roster of artists, including Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, David Lindley (with whom he enjoyed a long and beloved collaboration), James Taylor, Warren Zevon, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Bruce Hornsby, Shawn Colvin, Jennifer Warnes, John Trudell, Tracy Chapman, and Crowded House. He was also a member of the Grammy-nominated band Timbuk3. His recent projects include new records with W4RHORS3 (featuring Blues Traveler’s Chan Kinchla), Casa Del Sol, Tom Freund, John Trudell, and Dagnasterpus (Tree Adams). When not on tour with legendary artists, Wally collaborates with close friends, including Dave Schools, Jerry Joseph, and Danny Louis in Stockholm Syndrome, as well as his Alektrophobia partner, Eric McFadden. His long-standing partnership with Tree Adams has spanned multiple projects, from Adams’ compositions for NCIS: New Orleans, NCIS: Hawaii, The 100, and various films to their shared work on Adams' latest symphonic orchestral piece on climate change. Their collaboration extends into the studio and the stage with Dagnasterpus, showcasing their seamless musical synergy. If ever there were a drummer worthy of being cloned, it would be Wally Ingram—an artist whose rhythm and energy have left an indelible mark on the music world. Jono Manson is a prolific singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, master storyteller, and an accomplished audio engineer and producer, who started his first band at age seven and never looked back. During a storied career spanning over five decades, he has played everywhere from the local dive to Madison Square Garden and amassed a discography that includes major label and indie releases on three continents. Jono has produced albums for Grammy winners and local heroes alike. Born and raised in New York City, he currently makes his home in Santa Fe, NM, where he has planted deep roots in the local community. |

Cynthia West, an iconic Santa Fe Poet and Artist, is well known for her visionary realist paintings and poetry. Cynthia is also skilled in photography, digital imaging, and book arts. Her home of fifty years, where she lives with her husband and family, is a healing center, as well as her studio and gallery. Many people travel great distances to be restored by her remarkable art and gardens. This event marks the launch of Cynthia’s latest book of poems titled: “Seed Keepers”. About the book, Nina Simons, Co-founder of Bioneers and author of Nature, Culture and the Sacred writes: “Your book of poetry, Seed Keepers, is blessing my heart/mind/spirit wide open, and causing me to feel admiration of your courage, skill and eloquence as a poet. It is at once raw, real, lyrical, elegant, and profound, an offering of medicine that’s pure and beautiful as all your transmissions have been. Many thanks.” Cynthia West says, “Clouds, shadows, and branches drop clues, luring me to reach deeper than skin and bones, to touch the essence inside the appearance, the nothing that holds everything in its hands. Patience has years of seeking, one step after another in the dust, pathways that lead to water. My hand and eye never stop probing the changing shapes, now here, now gone, now flesh, now ghosts. Subtle hints flash in and out of form, quicker than loss or gain. Blown here and there, I coax the tree within to show its face. The view is turning, turning in and out of reach.” |

Muralist Gilberto Guzman has established his deserved place in history with a replica of his "Multicultural" mural on display at Vladem Contemporary, but little is known about his works on canvas which he also painted throughout his life. This month a retrospective of his work can be found on display in three locations throughout the city with an opening reception on September 29 at 5:30 pm at Edition ONE Gallery, and through October 31 at the Santa Fe Community Gallery, and El Museo Cultural.
Guzman's paintings resemble the style of the Mexican Masters and were undoubtedly influenced by the work of Diego Rivera; having lived in San Francisco and LA. His paintings depict the rich multicultural and agricultural experiences of growing up in East LA and his childhood home in Cucamonga, San Bernardino Valley. Guzman says that his artistic passion was sparked when he was hired to clean a studio and encountered a painting. He was never offered art in school and couldn’t fathom this painting and how it had the ability to depict life as a 3D illusion! From that time on he was driven to become an artist. He pursued art and after military service took courses and was accepted to the San Francisco Academy of Art. He settled in Santa Fe in the 70s where he produced notable murals that still exist and worked quietly as an artist. He took dishwasher jobs to pay the bills, and when his work was done, he would build and paint canvases ultimately creating “The Guzman Paintings.” |

Come to Edition ONE Gallery for an exclusive fundraising event. We are supporting the GoFundMe campaign to support the filmmaking work and livelihood of Godfrey Reggio and his wife Marti. Over the last 40 years, Reggio’s films have mirrored the psyche of the modern world while revealing the beauty of the living world - Koyaanisqatsi, 1982, with a score by Philip Glass, exposed in a visceral way the effects of our culture on the world in image and music. The new film Once Within a Time, 2022, captures the current multiple crises in stunning visuals, accessing subconscious knowings. The new film is projected to come out in the Summer of 2023. During his lifetime, he has focused on his art. His films have all been created within a not-for-profit documentary status. Godfrey has put their art over financial gain. Godfrey's ongoing creativity rises in public speaking, writing, drawing, and mentoring. Currently, he needs support, especially at age 83, as he is in a somewhat fragile state. Funds will be used for his daily living expenses to get through this period where there is no current funding. We will be screening Koyaanisqatsi with an introduction by Godfrey himself. This extraordinary venue has 3100 sq. feet of open space all designed to create an experience that is uniquely Santa Fe to honor this long-time resident. To donate, scan the QR Code below. Sponsored by Edition ONE Gallery and the Santa Fe Art Experience. Parking is available onsite and next door for up to 50 cars. We will be serving light refreshments. |

Through hysterical comedy, storytelling, and original songs, Zappo Diddio reflects on his path to healing through loving kindness and service toward young people in crisis. Forgiveness and reconciliation are recurring themes as he makes efforts to reconnect with his dad and leans into his paternal Jewish ancestry. Exploring how life’s challenges call us into the healing of mind, body, emotion, and spirit, Zappo stumbles through the gauntlet of recovering health and his once joyful life after 12 years of ongoing negotiation with Lymes disease. Like life itself, this performance leads to deep meaning as it moves along a roller coaster of hilarious, heart-opening storytelling.
