R. David Marks started making photos in 1979 while in the USAF stationed in Germany. He began photographing sports and current events for several newspapers. He left the service in 1988, moved to Detroit, and began a twelve year career of commercial work, including the "Big Three" among his clients. In 2000, he switched gears and relocated to Santa Fe, NM.
