KISA KAVASS has been a professional portrait and fine art photographer for over twenty years. Her fine artwork has been featured in numerous magazines and group and solo shows across the United States.
Several years ago she became involved with a domestic horse rescue in Tennessee, learning that our domestic horses are also in need of protection from abuse and the horse slaughter pipeline. These horses come to the rescue in need of love and care and in time they are able to begin new lives. Kisa documents the horses and their progress with her photography. As an artist, she hopes that you can share the feeling of being in the presence of these majestic animals and that her images will inspire everyone to become more engaged with the plight of the herds and their family bands and appreciate the importance of protecting our wild lands.
