Joseph Fammartino's images evoke memories of a simpler, more carefree time, and many of his photographs contain all sorts of memorabilia in addition to shaving brushes, scissors, and the traditional barber chair. The pages come to life as the personalities of the individual barbers shine through. Many of the images are captured through windows or are intentionally blurred, evoking distant memories. Some have been compelled to share barbershop experiences from their childhoods after viewing the book.
