The Beatles’ final U.S. tour stop at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, Sunday, August 31st. Photographer Lisa Law photographed from the front of the stage, capturing the frenzy as history unfolded. “The girls were screaming so loud you couldn’t hear the music—the band couldn’t even hear themselves play,” she recalls. At one point, she slipped backstage, where she documented fans fainting and being carried in for medical care.
