I was watching “Reservoir Dogs” for the first time. The exact moment everyone is shot during the Mexican standoff, I’m completely weirded out, and the phone rings. It was approaching midnight, and it was Billy calling. He apologizes for being so late, but he had an idea he wanted to run by me. He asked if the band could wear leopard-skin sport jackets on the cover of their “Greatest Hits” album. He explained, “It’s so out of step, it’s perfect for us.” How could I disagree? It was three days before the shoot, but I had a great wardrobe stylist, and she got it done. I saw those jackets many years later in a display case at the Hard Rock in Vegas.
