Rob Lang received his first camera at the age of five, beginning a lifelong practice of observing the world through a lens. While completing his Master’s degree at New York University, his work drew the attention of renowned documentary photographer Lisette Model, who invited him to join her Master Class. After graduating, Lang established a career spanning both commercial and fine-art photography.
Moving between documentary and abstraction, Lang uses photography to explore life in all its beauty and imperfection. His portraits seek to reveal the essence of his subjects, while his abstract works uncover hidden images beneath the visible surface. Based in New Mexico and influenced by time spent in the Hamptons, Lang’s work reflects a deep engagement with both the natural landscape and the esoteric. |
