Renee Lynn's current body of work presents a visual narrative exploring the human connection to the timeless wisdom of the natural world through camera movement and photographic layers of exposure. By focusing on the unique and distinctive interplay of color, texture, and detail, she reveals the essence of place and creates a dialogue between what is seen and what is felt. Renee invites you to connect with nature’s eternal story, resonate with its life-sustaining rhythms, and remember our shared journey with the natural world.
Renee Lynn is an American photographer based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Renee grew up surrounded by artists in the vibrant art scene of Greenwich Village and explored her world with a Brownie camera. She completed her studies in commercial photography at U.C. Berkeley. She began her career as a photojournalist before she found her passion as a stock photographer specializing in nature and animal imagery. During this time, Renee was represented by Getty Images and Corbis and was widely published including advertising for Apple, Jaguar, and Discovery Channel. She received an Addy, the American advertising award for a Volkswagen campaign featuring animals. Reaching out to others and supporting their professional development, she founded the NPPA Women in Visual Journalism Conference and the Women in Nature Photography Conference. Her recent photography has been exhibited at the Barcelona Foto Biennale and the Florida Museum of Photographic Art. Renee enjoys living once again in one of the liveliest art scenes in America: Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is a place where she can practice her art surrounded by a creative community. Here, she expanded her photography endeavors to explore the visual language of photographic expressionism, depiction beyond the literal. Through imaginative fields of color and form, she now invites you to experience photography unexpectedly. |
