Rumi Vesselinova
“The photographs in this portfolio deal with the sharpening discrepancies in Western society.
Despite seemingly rising prosperity, there are people who survive on the spare change in our pockets.
There is a story behind every person begging for our help, and we participate in it by briefly encountering this drama of human suffering -even if we just walk.”
For the past twenty years Rumi Vesselinova has lived in the Southwest and her photography is focused on the beauty as well as the environmental challenges of the region.
Rumi has participated in numerous exhibitions and juried shows. She was included in “20 New Mexico Photographers”, a portfolio of significant imagery by iconic and emerging photographers.
Rumi is an awardee of 2015 Worldwide Photography Gala Awards in the landscape category. Her work is presented in the Berlin Foto Biennale 2016 and 4th Biennial of Fine Art & Documentary.
